Our model
Moon designs, deploys and scales Energy-as-a-Service programmes in very different contexts: universal access programmes, mixed concessions with mini-grids, extension as a service, pre-electrification. Our specificity is the orchestration layer that turns any energy technology into a rural utility.
Families pay a small, regular fee for a reliable service. No down payment, no debt, no credit check to pass.
The operator only earns when the system works, so repairs and maintenance are part of the model, year after year.
Systems remain operator assets: repaired, refurbished and redeployed where they are needed, including when the grid arrives.
Subsidies unlock access once, then recurring payments fund operations: more lasting connections for every dollar invested.
Households add power with extensions as their needs and incomes grow, on the same service. One customer, one rural utility, any technology.
